60+ native to Portland Area. I can recommend rowing as a terrific fitness sport. Currently can't get into a boat due to need for hip replacement scheduled for December. Otherwise, have rowed competitively for over 25 years. Glad to share info and looking for alternatives and encouragement.
Due to bone spurs, my range of motion is limited so that I cannot get into my racing shell. Rowing machine helps, but is not a substitute. I'm also tired of not being able to walk even a quarter mile without pain. Encouragement and stories from others facing replacement surgery would be appreciated.
