Initial few days: feeling... hot at night, is this weird?
I'm wondering if this is just me but both times I have embarked on MFP (this time around just to undo lockdown weight) in the first few days I feel what I can only describe as feeling hot at night for no good reason. Now it's not hot-hot, I'm not sweating, the heat seems to be localised internally  I even checked…

Finally feel like I can post in this board: 56lbs in 21 wks
Think I may've been a bit too aggressive but I can be very single-minded when I focus on a single goal. I'm a desk-bound 46yo so honestly anyone can do this. I've managed to convince a family member to do this and wrote up all my worldly knowledge in a PDF document, the sum total of the MFP hivemind. Huge thanks to MFP,…

Just come up with a kickass analogy
Think of this in terms of budgets. You're given a daily allowance (calories) but it's hard to know what you spend it on without help from MFP. You wouldn't walk into a store and buy things without looking at the price. MFP tells you how much you have to spend and how much things cost. So let's run with metaphor! Your…

How much have you spent on weightloss?
Let me try to think.. * Digital scales: £15 * Withings scales: £100 * MFP Pro: £40 * New wardbrobe: the best ~£800 I've spent * errr there is no No.5 Genuinely No.1 is the only must-have there (I could fashion clothes from tress and moss). I think my point, if I have one, is that this doesn't have to cost anything.

Any knowledgeable diabetics around?
I'm asking because I'm an unknowledgeable diabetic. I've been feeling light-headed and getting weird electric-shock type sensations in my fingers recently. I took some blood glucose tests today and, without having taken any medication, they're in the normal range. This is the first time I can remember it happening. I took…

Custom meal names question
Quick question, no biggie *flags as low importance* I'd like to add a new meal name in my diary (My Home > Settings> Meal Names) between lunch and dinner. If I do this and move Dinner and Snacks down one row will it destroy all the data I've already logged in those 2 meals? I've tried looking in the FAQ.

Water loss during first weeks
We hear a lot about the fact that the dramatic loss in the first few weeks is because of water but how.. err.. how, not how I mean where is this, you know, water lost?

Anyone losing weight AND giving up smoking?
It's the double-whammy , I'm thinking all those cravings for sweets will kick-in. Perhaps it's best to try one of the things at a time. So is anyone in this particular nightmare zone?
