I completed couch to 5k a few months ago and I am able to jog 3.75 miles on the treadmill. So I set a goal for myself to run a 5k. Tonight I took my jog to the street. It was freakin HARD!!!!! New to HRMs
I bought a Polar PT4 today and hit the treadmill. The machine I used said it was Polar ready and picked up my heart rate (thought that was pretty cool). But I have a problem. The treadmill says I burned 483 calories in 55 minutes. The watch says I burned 667. (and my Nike +iPod says I burned 558, not attached to any hrm).…

I joined MFP yesterday. I have been working on weight loss for about 6 weeks and I have lost about 10 pounds so far. Today, my husband told me that he could tell that I have lost weight. I know I have a long journey to go, but it is nice to feel successful from the start.

I need new running shoes....
I want Nike+ because I can put my sensor inside and track my walking. I eventually want to get up to jogging short then longer distances. Any suggestions???
