Food Prep Sunday
Does anyone else do this? I find that making some food items for the week ahead of time totally saves me when I get home at the end of the day and for packing lunches. My plan today: Boil eggs Cook up some turkey meatballs Chop up veggies for roasting/quick sauteeing/salads Make a fruit salad Cook up some chicken for…

The Numbers Aren't Changing....
Reminders to myself this morning after a no-loss weigh in. (No gain, either) 1. Weight loss in not linear. 2. My jeans are still loosey goosey and that counts for something. 3. I feel awesome. 4. I've got a good plan and I am sticking to it. 5. The scale isn't the only measure of progress. 6. I'm gorgeous no matter what…

Looking for friends :)
So I guess we could call this a RE-introduction. I'm Melis, this is my third round on MFP. Previous attempts were successful, in that I lost some weight and kept it off- after awhile, though, I fizzled. How do you not fizzle? I see people with these "700 day streaks" and I think WOW, how the hell did they do that?! I'm…

Activity setting - please help!
I just got a second job, which will have me on my feet for four hours in the evenings, 5 days a week. (Walking the store track, helping customers, some lifting, etc.) My day job consists of me sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours. I have my settings at "sedentary". My question is, should I count the four hours as…

Post workout snack necessary?
Hi guys- any input here would be appreciated. My workouts are at the end of my work day- usually around 5:00. I typically spend 35-45 minutes on the elliptical and then 20-30 minutes lifting on the weight circuit. My typical burn is anywhere from 300-450 calories. My question is- do I actually need an official Post Workout…

What motivates you?
Of all the things that do motivate me....I think the one that does it the most is my fashion board on Pinterest!!! I LOVE the prospect of wearing fabulous clothes that I don't have to buy in the plus size section! I can hardly wait for all the cute/sexy/gorgeous dresses, swimsuits, awesome outfits like the ones on this…

Advise me! Xbox Kinect....
Does anyone out there in MFP land use the Xbox Kinect Fitness games for your workouts? I'm thinking of getting one, hopefully on sale this weekend, but I'd like some info from users. Pros/cons, recommends? I have a Wii, but using the step board and the controls is cumbersome...is the Kinect better? Thanks in advance!…

Determined....
*NOT* eating candy today, and not even minding! Candy's not special, I can get it any old time, so today, even though its everywhere? No problemo. Be gone, Snickers! You have no power over ME..... So- who's enjoying GUILT FREE (y'all might as well) and who's not indulging? (Nothing wrong either way).

A dork who can't do math....HELP!
HELP! My BMR is 1802. My TDEE is 2163. I know, from my research, that these two sets of numbers should help me factor out how many calories I should be eating and, thus expending. Yet somehow, my brain refuses to compute. Can you help me? My goal is to lose no more than 1.5 pounds a week (in it for the long haul, not the…

NON-SCALE VICTORY (NSV)- What's yours?
Sometimes we focus on the numbers as our only measure of success- but there are plenty of NSV's that are just as valuable...so what's yours? Mine: Cleaning out the kitchen, so that even when I felt super snacky last night, all of my options were pretty clean. When I logged it, it wasn't even as bad as I thought it would…
