New Group - for those with a GW around 100 lbs
There's a new group for us petite ladies! It can be hard to compare your calorie intake or Goal Weight with people who are much taller. It can sound crazy to someone who's 5'7" that you want to weight 100 lbs. But if you're 5'0", that's a totally great GW. Even without intentionally being judgmental, many people question…

What do you tell people who say 'but you're tiny'?
Do you just smile and move on? or do you say something clever? I usually try to at least say, "well, I know the weight where I feel comfortable so I'm just trying to get there again." Sometimes it's hard not to get angry when people tell you things like that. I WANT to say, hey it's my body so keep your opinions to…

what are your calorie goals?
I used all sorts of online calculators to calculate my BMR. They all put it at around 1350. I tried to measure my body fat percentage also. I used calipers and measurements coupled with online calculators. I got such wildly varying results. I got between 20% and 28%. Really??? That is not helpful. So I input my best guess…

The raison d'etre of this group
I started this group because it was getting more difficult to post to other message boards and groups. I am rather short and small-boned and my goal weight is around 100 lbs. It is hard to post a starting weight that is sometimes 50 lbs less than other people's goal weights. I felt almost guilty starting off at a weight…

How to Run without triggering overeating
Hey, just looking to see if anyone has had similar experiences and has some tips. I have run a lot in the past and I usually enjoy it. At a certain point, it becomes a penalty for overeating which triggers more overeating. And then I ultimately gain weight. Especially when I get bored with running and feel like I just have…

What's your January challenge? Check in here!
I was thinking we might want to do some monthly challenges. Each person can post their top 3 goals for the month. Then each week we can evaluate our progress. My goals for January 1) Keep eating and snacking in check despite lots of craziness in the schedule 2) Take a walk or do 1 workout per week (i'm getting started…

The Downs and Ups of Weight-Loss - Thoughts?
So much of what we read about weight-loss is focused on the downs, that is, the scale moving downward. It is the holy grail, be-all, end-all, etc. It's what we wake up excited about, and what crushes us when we don't see it. Today was not a down day. Some days, we just need to make peace with the ups. We can hunt for a…

New Group for petite ladies
Hey, we have a new group for ladies with a GW between 95-110. It's called Hundred-pounders. It's hard to compare our kcal intake with people who are so much taller/bigger than us. Over in the group, we all have more similar kcal intakes and goals for easier comparison and support. We're doing a January challenge on the…

Our Group Icon
Any ideas for our group icon? I hate leaving it blank. Of course, I don't want to infringe on copyright, so finding something online is tricky. If you have any good ideas, or even want to draw one, let me know!

Anyone else with a GW of 100-105?
Just looking to see if anyone is interesting in starting some motivation/support group for those of us with goal weights of 100 lbs to 105 lbs. Sometimes it's hard to compare with people with much higher goal weights, since our calories are usually so much lower. I was thinking to start a group where we could post daily to…
