Shin Splints
I've upped my mileage a bit the last couple of weeks and my shins are protesting. They do this every time I increase speed or distance and get better with a little bit of time. I'm running a 5K in the morning and was wondering if anyone had some tips for me to help with the pain some.

Scale recommendations?
I bought a horrible cheap scale recently. Today, I weighed in at 163.4, 165.6 and 173.2 all within 2 minutes! I need to replace this monstrosity because I have NO idea what I really weigh right now! Any recommendations of a good, reliable scale that doesn't cost a fortune?
