What do I spend my Cycle to Work Voucher on
Decisions, Decisions. New company means I get a cycle to work voucher. I applied for the full £1K. But what do I buy? In theory you cannot buy components, but, my LBS are an accommodating bunch so I am sure I could get some new rims. In fact they're trying to get me to upgrade to the limited edition Mavic 125 for my Hi-Mod…

I was on my TDF Challenge ride last night. Just left house, a car almost knocked me off at the top of the road. At traffic lights a mile further on I caught up wit the car, and this is where I was perhaps wrong. "Pointed out the error" in a rather forceful way ie. I swore at the driver. Anyway I set off, Car caught me up a…

A1C Still down
As my T2 MFP friends know I was diagnosed last summer with an HbA1C of 9.6% I managed to reduce that a little with a change in diet, but as the weight continued to come off and the amount of exercise increased the positive affects on my A1C continued. Today's results were 5.1% my lowest yet. This has all been through…

How many of you check your feet?
I see lots of discussions on here about getting BG levels under control, I assume because we all want to avoid the complications associated with the disease. So when I saw this report on the BBC website, it got me thinking, how many of us actually check our feet? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-21550954 This sentence…

As I posted when introducing myself over a month ago, at a blood test a few weeks back my Hb1Ac was 9.1 - very high. So the Locum Dr sent me for a starvation glucose test. What Blood Pressure Monitor
My Doctor wants me to monitor my blood pressure. I am looking at two both by Omron: the M6 and the M10. Does anyone here have any experiences of these good or bad? Any other recommendations? Reason I like these is that they both store results so I can keep a good few weeks worth stored. Being a bit of a techno geek I like…
