I finished chemo last June and that took everything out of me. Frankly, I was so weakened, that I couldn't go up steps easily or even bend over to pick something up. I don't know about you all, but I do like to eat out. The problem is finding restaurants and options on the menu that are healthy and aren't salad. I have found a few but frankly, I'm getting sick of them. Cosi for instance has some interesting salads to eat but if I see one more Cosi salad . . . . Anyone have suggestions…

I just realized I forgot to set up an introduction thread. I'm Susan. I live over on the edge of Capitol Hill and work near Dupont Circle. I Metro everyday to work and try to work lots of walking into that routine. I have dogs I could be walking, but find myself settling into the couch. I sure could use some motivation.

I am thrilled. Just found this wonderful book by Dr. Glenn Gaesser of the University of Virginia about how it's more important to be fit (active and eat healthy) than to be skinny. Slow and Steady Wins the Race
I need to keep reminding myself of this. I am losing weight but very slowly.
