Can I lift heavy with dumbbells or does it have to gym barbells? I'm not talking about 2 lbs dumbbells, but something more heavy. I am thinking of starting off with 10 - 20 pounds and then work my way up. Would that work? I need to tone up since I have a LOT of fat in my body (see below). Any advise?
Hi - I am 24 years old, 5 3" and weight 140 pounds. I used to weigh close to 180 but lost all that weight mainly due to starvation in high school.
