100 days of Happiness - Day 41 Any one welcome
Today Dh made me breakfast and did all the morning dishes. And it is not Mother's Day or my birthday. I am waiting for the something...but till then it was lovely.

Had a lovely few hours outside watching Dean play with a little girl, played a little badminton, ate corn. Some nice family time.

Today I am happy for being able to afford groceries most weeks. Sometimes things are tight. And we cannot splurge, but we manage and I know some families don't.

I love reading. And I love my mum and dad for giving me that joy for reading. We read to Dean every day and he sees us reading for pleasure so I hope he too gets to experience the joy of books.

Today I was dubbed Pirate Queen and given a box of treasure (sparkly paper things). Beat that! lol

Went for a nice walk with my son. Had to laugh at him as he insisted he wear both his winter mittens as they are his armor/gauntlets lately in some game he plays and he said he needed them to protect us. Man were his hands sweaty at the end of the walk!

Today is a nice day so off out shortly with Dean on his bike to get a walk in. Just the right temp for me, a warm but not overly close 22 degrees lol. My cousin and his wife are expecting again. Number 9. How crazy is that?? We are not amazingly close, but its family so I am happy for them. 9 kids. I cannot even imagine how the opposite of quiet their house must be ;)

Discovered that you can microwave thin slices of potato for 3 to7 mins and get homemade crispy and healthy chips with just a spray of pam. Having a movie afternoon with the guys and a healthy snack.

Woke up this morning to my 5 year old playing in the bed next to me with three of his soft toys who he said were his sons. :)

Hi all, late start to today's thread. Having a lazy couple of days since I got back, back on track with food but less so with exercise since I did so much there. Will get in some walking later and then re-focus tomorrow, maybe do some Yoga. It is meant to be yucky and rainy here this weekend so sadly no great plans. Hope…

3 days away from pc's, internet, phones, tvs. Just us in a cabin in the woods, did some boating, a lot of swimming, walking. Also did a lot of eating, but that is okay, back to it today. Lovely to spend focused time with DH and DS.

A lot of exercise today which was a bit of good fortune as had a bit of a binge on .. well something. Oh well sugar high and adrenaline high achieved in one day, there is reason to smile. It was nice and cool out too today, so enjoyed the walk with Dean on his bike a lot more without the heat sweat.

Going camping tomorrow, just for 3 days but it is still getting away. No portable devices here so will check in when I get back, but that too will be nice, to be unplugged for a bit :)

Had a lovely day today with sister in law in my two nieces, we went blueberry picking in the morning, baked with them when we got back, had bbq and the baked goods they made, went to a splash park, played a very little badminton as it was hot, then chilled with some wine in the backyard while the kids played. The three of us played piggy in the middle today after our badminton session. Usually after badminton it is all I can do to drag myself up our aprtment stairs lol

Planned a short camping trip for next week, still got to get it booked tomorrow morning but looking forward to a couple of nights away. But I will be sleeping in a mini windmill not a tent as I only glamp lol.

Today I am happy because I am in a skirt to go out for a meal, and I do not feel as uncomfortable and bulgy as I used to.

I am feeling grouchy today and I have been snippy at my poor son. Just realized TOM is due so that explains it. So it is hard to feel hippy happy, but there have still been good moments and this thread makes me remember them. I choose snuggling with Dean on the couch after lunch while we watched Doctor Who.

I ache today from 70 minutes of yoga and badminton and playing piggy in the middle with DH and DS. It is a good ache though.

Today I made my first fruit cobbler. I have not made it before as crumble is more of the British thing, I have made those. I used a light recipe, and also actually used less fruit as I only had 2 peaches, so threw in a handful of raspberries. Tbh I am not always super keen on fruit in desert. Dean and daddy went fishing for a couple of hours today. Dean got 2, daddy 0 hehe. But what made me happy was that my son felt bad about the 2nd fish as it swallowed the hook too far down and was too little to save so died. He wasn't traumatized but he cared, and I am happy that I have a son that cares.

Today I am happy because we handed in a cv for Dh this morning. Too early to know, the guy retires in a year but it is something to hope for.

Reading Winnie the Pooh to my son last night from a book that was given to me when I was 5 (the same age he is now) from an aunt and uncle. This is about the 5th time we have started reading it in the last 2 weeks, and I do not mind at all repeating it because it is lovely sharing it with him.
