Looking for a new Polar HRM
So back when I bought my Polar, it was the watch AND the strap for like $300. Now I’m seeing they sell them separately. Is that right?? And I have no idea which one to get anymore. I can’t afford the $500 one, lol. I want to see what my heart is doing because I have high anxiety and high BP so I like to keep tabs on my…

Calories burned - believe the elliptical or HRM?
In the elliptical at the gym, I put in my weight, choose an incline, and it syncs with my heart rate monitor so it keeps track of my heart rate during my workout... at the end it says I burned 430 cal. BUT my heart rate monitor says I've burned 620. That's quite a difference. Which one am I supposed to believe??

Either my heart beats too fast, or my HRM is faulty. Help?
So I entered all the of the information into my new Polar FT40 HRM, and I wore it to my first workout last week. After having just put it on, it had said my HR was at 82. After a few mins of working out, my HR was up to 130-140, and it was in the "fitness" zone of the Polar HRM workout. I tried my best to lower my HR so it…

Polar FT40 watch questions
So I've been looking at the Polar FT40 watch, but... is it just a watch? Or does it also come with a chest strap? Or do I have to buy the strap separately? If so, which one? I have a big rib cage, and doubt the standard straps for any HRM would fit around me...which is the reason I've shied away from buying one for so…

Trainers say getting nauseous isn't normal. Is it?
I've had 2 trainers, from 2 different gyms, become baffled when I tell them how I get nauseous after working out really hard. They both looked at me like I was crazy, and acted like they've never heard of anyone getting nauseous from working out before. I felt stupid. Is this rare?? :\

Ripped in 30, nauseous by minute 10
I've just started doing Ripped in 30, and I can't make it through the whole workout. I start getting insanely nauseous around minute 10, so I pause it and sit down for about 5 minutes, and try to go again. This is day 3 of trying to make it through the "week 1" workout, and I just cant. I can do "normal workouts" just fine…

Fell off the wagon, for 3+ months now! Defeated.
Back in December I had to have emergency gallbladder removal surgery. Fun. At that time, I was down 35lbs (I will add that some of that weight loss was due to lack-of-appetite and lack-of-nutrition because my gallbladder caused me so much pain, toward the end I was only eating 900 calories a day.) I was told by my surgeon…

Losing weight, but NOT inches. Why?
I've started dieting/exercising regularly since July. I workout at least 4-5 times a week, for 30 mins to 1 hour. So far I've lost about 20lbs, but I'm having a really hard time losing any inches. My thighs have actually lost the most inches: 2. My waist? 1 inch. Hips? 1 inch. Arms? 0.5 inch. Neck? no inches. I do 1/2 hour…

Lost only 1lb in 3 weeks. Officially feeling defeated.
So the BF and I have started going to the gym 4 times a week. We do 30 mins of strength training, followed by 30 minutes of cardio. I've limited my calories to 1480 a day, and definitely use them all. In the past 3 weeks, I've only lost about 1.5lbs (I don't know why my tracker says 0?). The BF has lost 6lbs. I feel…
