calories counters on equipment at gym?
I have seen statements that the calories counter on treadmills etc are not too accurate and will give a higher than actual calories used count. eat a little before workout?
I usually have my last meal about 6:30 at nite. 5 days a week my gym opens at 4:45am, 7 on sat. Since it has been awhile since my last food, would I get a better workout by eating a little before hitting the gym? I usually have a meal about an hour after coming home from the workout.

Fairly new here & before joining this site had never heard of TDEE caculations. Would like to get my weight loss right this time and permantly taken care of. I am just starting week 3 of the 6 week shred diet. Couldn't stand it anymore sat morning & had 3 donuts. Had my weigh in this morning (Monday) and lost 3lbs this week - 8.5 last week - My question is-will I pay for the donuts this week or since I ate them on saturday & weighed in on monday was that damage done last week?

Shred diet - Big wt loss in week 1
Started Ian Smiths diet last week with unbelievable results I think. My wife & I are both mid 50's. I need to lose about 40 lbs & had lost about 8 since the new year. At the end of week 1 my wife lost 6lbs & I lost 8.5. Is this typical for some?
