Gym induction this morning
Well.. here we go.. booked myself in for gym induction at the local leisure centre this morning. Am hoping to go two or three times a week. Does the induction just mean they say this is the machine, this is how you use it.. off you go... or do some draw up an exercise plan suitable for individual persons?

Body Pump
Good morning all Today I am off to the gym for my first class in Body Pump, which involves exercising with light weights in time to music, so I guess it's kind of an aerobic thing too. How does this work? I have always been led to believe exercise more, eat less.. so what is the point of adding in all that food again. I would have thought that negated all the exercise you do during the day. Yours.. very confused Nik

My first proper training walk of the year
First proper walk I have done this year. Lessons I have learned so far.. 1. Make sure your waterproof coat IS waterproof. 2. Ensure your boots DON'T leak. 3. Remember to tell the bus driver to drop you off one STOP before your normal one....not one TOWN before your normal one. Oh and 4. NEVER listen to your 'friend' who…

McMillan Nurses Charity Walk in May
This charity walk is in May this year and people can do either 13 miles or the full 26 miles. I want to do the 13 miles, but need some help and advice as to how to go about training for this. It's NOT a race, or running, it's a walk, through our lovely Pembrokeshire Countryside, in aid of Macmillan Nurses who are dedicated…
