Not losing for 2 weeks
What can cause a pause in weight loss 3 weeks into modifying calorie intake? I went from not tracking (but not gaining) to a deficit with a goal of 2 lb a week. The first week went fine, now I've been at the same weight for 2 weeks. I use a food scale, don't snack, log everything I consume, and stay hydrated. My activity…

Activity Trackers
I'm broke, so I'm deciding between a Fitbit Flex or a Misfit Shine. I'm not deeply invested in fitness, my main form of exercise is either walking/swimming. I'm looking for an activity tracker with fairly accurate tracking capabilities and a decent ideas of how many calories I've burned. What would you suggest?

Looking for fellow parents!
I have a 5 month old son and I'm currently a SAHM. I'm looking for friends who are in a similar situation :)

What would my activity level be considered as?
This may sound silly, but I honestly have no idea what to label my lifestyle as. MFP gives the options "sedentary, lightly active, active, and very active". I work in a factory, but I'm relatively stationary - as in I don't walk around much. I lift auto parts for quality checks over, and over, and over. The parts weigh…

How much water should I really be drinking?
I've recently learned that how much water one should consume varies based on things such as weight, activity level, and so forth. (A little late to learning this, but it is what it is.) Due to this revelation, I'm now concerned that I'm not drinking enough water. I've been aiming for 64 oz. a day, but I'm afraid that isn't…

Eating below my BMR?
I am a 19 year old female, 5'4, and 242 pounds. I set my activity level as sedentary then log my exercise as I go. I drink no less than 64 ounces of water a day, and I'm currently trying to drink more. According to fat2fit tools, my BMR is 1,873 calories. MyFitnessPal has my calorie goal set at 1,320 for a projected weight…

Inches lost since Day 1
I'm curious as to what others are noticing with their bodies :) I've lost one inch off my waist since the beginning, one inch off my neck, and one inch off my hips - not too much, but enough to be psyched about!

What to do when staying with family?
I'm at my mother's house for two weeks, and she's not exactly the most health conscious person. My siblings are both overweight, as well as my mother and step father. I want to remain on track while I'm here, but her idea of 'cooking' is getting a McDonald's 40 piece chicken nuggets and a few medium fries. I follow the…

Is "starvation mode" a real thing?
Please don't make fun of me and forgive my ignorance. I read this guy's post from forever ago, and now I'm genuinely curious. Is this a real thing? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/81391-starvation-mode-myths-and-science I also stumbled upon this site, which essentially says the same thing the OP in the other thread…

What are some rewards you have set for yourself?
I was modifying xSirensSong's cute little "about me" RPG-typed thing (seriously, check it out!), and realized... I really just want to feel healthy! And to eat an entire tub of cookie dough ice cream... but that's how I got here in the first place. :p So - what are some rewards YOU have set for yourself when you reach your…
