New A1C reading
Yea!! Was pleasantly surprised to get a reading of 5.2 three months after my bilateral knee surgery. Really expected it to be higher and in fact was even warned that it would be. So my doctor will be very surprised in the morning, Considering I started out as a 10.4 in Jan, that's pretty good.

I was wondering if anyone has had success with the home A1C tests. My test in early Jan was 10.4 when I was diagnosed. At that time my readings were 180-250 at all times. Finally got all of my results today. My AIC went from 10.3 on Jan 8 to 5.5 today. Had a fasting of 93 compared to 253 in Jan. 2014 - Have dropped 39 lbs - Lowered cholesterol from 213 to 144 - Trigly. from 149 to 97 - LDL from 149 to 83 - Raised HDL from 40 to 46 (could be better) Have bilateral knee surgery scheduled for…
