Frivolous vent
I am so tired of seeing all the modified coffee drinks from Starbucks. I just want to log a regular drink - regular chai. Regular mocha. Not a grande non-fat/no-whip/hint of sugar-free syrup with a splenda. I bet the baristas hate these special drink orderers as much as I do right now. It should not be so difficult to find…

How do you log when there is no nutritional info?
I'm not often flummoxed by this, because I don't eat out enough at places you can't get nutritional data or approximate nutritional data, but tonight will be one of those nights. My mom is taking me out as a late birthday celebration and I'm not planning to restrict anything. I've already checked online and the only…

How long can you eat under BMR before damage?
First, I'm talking about a little under your BMR (say 1500 calories when your BMR is 1600). I'm not talking about huge deficits. Second, I'm not proposing this as a weight loss solution or asking if it's cool if I do this! I'm just realizing that with my activity so much reduced by my current situation with work, I've been…

Transition clothes?
It's becoming very clear I need to do something about my wardrobe, because I'm running lower and lower on clothes that fit well enough. Great problem to have, right? Except I really don't have a lot of money available for clothes now, and I'm not anywhere near my goals yet. I've got no problem browsing eBay or similar, but…

It's working, it's working!
This may sound dumb, but it's working, it's working, it's working! It took awhile, but I feel like I finally have a good handle on what is working to help me lose weight (essentially trying to eat at least to BMR and eating to my TDEE per fitbit - 1000 calories). I've now lost the expected amount 2 weeks in a row, after a…

So, what happens if you eat under your BMR regularly?
I'm new to the BMR/TDEE thing and I'm trying to make sense of it all. If there is no such thing as starvation mode, then what happens if you are below your BMR for the day? If that is a regular occurrence? If your net calories dip below 1200? There is so much conflicting info out there and I'm getting terribly confused.
