Hate cardio, love weights, can do abs for days
I've always hated cardio, but in the last year I've gotten so much better - I've been doing Taebo with a group of friends. We all started at the same time, and the majority of us (6 of us total) were at similar fitness levels as we'd been doing no exercise before. (I'd been doing Pilates actually for a few months, but…

Muscle Gain/Fat Loss
Hello! I've got a question, if anyone would mind explaining that would be great. I've been doing tae bo for almost a year now, and I can feel the difference massively - I've arm muscles, abs, strong thighs, I'm fitter, I've got more endurance, etc - the only problem is that all these muscles (I'm not the only one who can…

Unsupportive Partner - no one to push me but myself, sigh
Hey everyone! This is partially a call for advice, but also partially just an opportunity to vent, so if anyone wants to do that too, feel free! Basically, I reached my lowest weight ever in December 2017 - I'm 5'11, and I weighed 152lb. I was over the moon. Around this stage I was also going out a lot and generally having…

Classic post - how many calories should I actually be eating?
I'm a 22 year old 5'11" woman and I currently weigh 155 pounds. My goal right now is 140. I calculated my BMR and it says 1559, so could anyone help me figure out how many calories I should be eating per day to lose? I do moderate bodyweight and weight machine workouts 3 times a week and Pilates. Thanks!

When did you stop feeling "fat"?
At what point in your weight loss journey did you stop feeling or thinking of yourself as fat (if you ever did). Do you ever wonder if other people still think of you as fat? When did your mental picture start to match what you saw in the mirror? I ask because I'm struggling with this - I'm firmly in the middle of my BMI…

Started running and now I'm eating too much
I started running three or four times a week a few weeks ago, and I'm struggling to stay under my calories - usually I lose control at night. I'm used to being very in control, so this is frustrating me/making me feel bad. I've never been one to regularly exercise, so I am proud of myself in that regard, but has anyone…

Favorite low calorie snacks?
What are some things you like to eat that are low in calories and you can eat a lot of them? I like pickles and all natural microwave popcorn (a whole bag). I'm always looking for ideas!

Loss of appetite, am not meeting my calories?
Is it necessary to push myself to eat more? I'm a 22 year old 5'11 female, current weight 169, goal weight 155, and MFP has me at 1,300 calories per day. I don't do any exercise, so it's not like I'm at a huge deficit. Most days I make it to about 850-1050 calories per day.

Calorie question
I haven't lost any weight this week (and I haven't gained any either), but I keep eating less than my calorie goal and then sort of eating just for the sake of it even though I'm not really hungry. And even though I'm under my calorie goal I still feel guilty because I haven't lost weight? I feel like I'm half-consciously…

Suspiciously Easy?
So I'm halfway (almost) through my third week of very careful calorie counting, and I've already lost 10 pounds. I can feel a difference in my body. I posted recently if it was okay that I'm eating less than my goal calorie amount per day, around 1000 calories, and the consensus was that it was fine. But I've been reading…

Under recommended calories, but not hungry for more?
Hello! Hopefully I'm not just shouting into the void here. So I'll be completing my second week tomorrow, at which point I'll step on the scale again, but last week I lost 5 pounds. We'll see about this week! But I was just wondering if it is bad that I'm eating less than my recommended intake of 1270 calories (I usually…
