Hi, Little about me: I have been a swimmer since I was a kid and competed up through high school. I became an amputee (no left leg) in my early 20's... hand cycle - Calories burned vigorus 5 mile?
I am switching over to my Hand cycle for the summer from lap swimming (as long as it's not raining). Any idea on how to figure calories on that? It's all upper shoulder/arm rotation. Mostly flat 12-16 mph. I'm guessing 500 calories for 5 miles, but I am twice as tired compared to swimming so it's probably off. any ideas? DG

Crunchy snack veggie bowl

Mashed potatoes with Cauliflower
Finally tried this last night. Cut up head of Cauliflower, then filled the rest of the pot with diced potatoes... maybe 2 lbs. Boiled like usual till soft, then drained.
