Sugar free Christmas cookies?

One year and 106 pounds later. (Pics at the end of the post.)
Age: 43 Height: 5'2.5" Frame: Medium SW: 262 CW: 156 GW: Under 140 somewhere Exercise: Mostly walking, with a little bit of Zumba, low impact aerobics, and swimming thrown in for variety as I get bored easily. Some resistance work, but I keep hurting myself and having to rest and then start over from scratch. :( Food Plan:…

Ladies compression clothing assistance needed. Have you found
a lightweight, breathable, mid-sleeve (elbow length) compression shirt anywhere? I need one for hiking because the batwings are getting irritated by the pack straps. Long sleeves are too hot for summer hiking, and cap and short sleeves just cut off circulation and allow the rubbing to happen. Any suggestions?

Hiking, with poles?
I have a Flex and have recently started hiking, which for me mostly means tripping up and downhill over rocks and roots, until I come to a boulder I need to haul myself over or slide down on. Should I just let my Flex gauge my activity? I logged it on MFP once as "hiking with less than a 10lb load," and the calorie burn it…

Eating for Hiking? (X-posted to Fitbit group)

Last June I was too fat and tired to get off the couch. Today, I hiked 7 miles!
Almost a year on MFP and walking got me to a place where I could join my husband in Acadia today. It was beautiful! I could use more strength, flexibility, and stability for those times I need to play mountain goat, and my bad knees and hips did give me some trouble, but I still managed to do it. And the cardio I have done…

Loose skin means a drooping bum and tum. Do Spanx really help, and are they comfy enough for every
day wear? I'm working on the muscle underneath, but the skin droop is obscuring my hard work! :(

9 months into it and 80lbs down so far.
Age: 43 Height: 5'2.5" (medium frame) SW: 262 CW: 179.5 GW: 120-130 Weight loss tools: MFP, digital kitchen scale, Fitbit Flex, Health Center Wellness team and hubby. Exercises: I love to dance, but my knees can only take so much, so I tend to do modified Zumba and aerobics. I swim on occasion and do a lot of walking. (I…

Has anyone upgraded from the Flex to the Charge HR and then found
they could have just as easily just stuck with the Flex?

After 4+ months, I finally passed the 40lb mark, and
to celebrate, I am holding a 40lb bag of wood pellets to show how much that really is! (Please don't ask me to hold 2 of them at 80lbs and 3 at 120lbs, though!) Age:43 Height: 5'2.75" SW: 262lbs CW: 222lbs GW: 120-130lbs

Food scale recommendations?
Hubby asked what I want for Christmas, and that is it. Looking for a reasonably priced, accurate digital unit that has tare, hold, and negative weighing. Any other features I should look for? What brand do you recommend, and where did you get it?

To log or not to log exercise?
My flex is synced with MFP, which is great, but I don't like logging my workouts (which are usually walking or low impact aerobics) and seeing them go up too high into the green or get dropped from green to orange. I do occasionally eat back some calories when I am hungry, but if the logging is inaccurate somehow, I have…

An injury I just have to wait out, or can I put on a brace?
My forearms are bothering me and have been for a while. I think I strained them lifting a heavy and ungainly laundry basket a few weeks ago, and they haven't felt right since. Now whenever I lift anything, even my boombox, they hurt. Especially right next to my elbows. Do I have to wait this out, or are there braces I can…

Sleep apnea?
My doc says losing weight will help somewhat. (Mine is not just obstructive, but my brain forgets to tell me to breathe.) Any success stories of shedding both pounds and apnea?

Looking for friends who are parenting teens. I have
found there is a lot of stress eating in my life that revolves around my kids, most particularly the younger one who has oppositional defiance disorder. (I checked for groups, but they seem pretty dormant.) So if you are in a similar boat, I would love for you to add me. :^D

A shoe question for people who have lost weight.
When I was in high school I wore a size 7-71/2 women's shoe. Now in my 40s I am wearing a 71/2-8, but in men's for the width. My question is, if I lose weight, can I look forward to not wearing men's shoes anymore, or are my feet forever widened? Thanks!

What's on your "pump me up" workout playlist this week?
Me, I've hooked my tablet up to my boombox and am streaming a cheer music "radio" station for my at-home aerobics. I know it's working when I catch myself wanting to dance! (Go away weight! Come back knees! I want to move again!)

Good protein sources that are low in fat and sodium??
Particularly used as a snack food to add on when my meals don't give me enough protein for the day? My calories are coming out a little low, and fruits and veg just aren't filling the gap. I don't want to slow my metabolism down because of a lack of calories. I do have a supply of lightly salted nuts and peanut butter, but…

Have finally worked up the nerve to intro myself.
I'm Jen. I live on the coast of Maine with my husband, 2 teen boys, and 2 kitties. I love to read: sci-fi/fantasy mostly, but also some mysteries and other fiction. I enjoy TV/Films in the same genres. I coach cheerleading in an elementary school, albeit not as well as when I was younger/thinner. I miss being able to keep…

Top 10 reasons for wanting to lose weight?
Here's my list: 1) To live long enough to finish raising my boys. 2) To live long enough to meet my grandchildren. 3) So I will never fall through another camp chair. :^( 4) So it's easier and less embarrassing to get up from the floor. 5) Because 300lbs got wayyy too close. (Ditto size 5X.) 6) To get off of some of these…
