Well, I finally did it. I finished the 5K this morning in 41:22. My average mile was 13:21, which is better than I as doing in training. I even got a trophy for 2nd place in my age class (35-39). Considering I'm still a bit north of 300 lbs., I will call this a win and start training for the next one.
Does anyone have a good stretching routine for before and after workouts? My quads almost always hurt after boot camp class (and sometimes the day after too) and I think it's due to not stretching out before I work out.
