Tell me about these so-called rest days
....because I honestly do not want to take them, but I noticed the last two days that my legs got tired very fast - I had been doing an hour every day of Dance Central and the last two days I could only do a half hour before my leg muscles were just too tired to continue. I substituted a walk for the remaining 30 minutes…

3 day cleanse?
Has anyone done something like this? It would be more like 2 and a half days - friday night, sat, sun. I was originally planning to just make it an all fruits and veggies day (and some nuts for fat) but when I googled it I mostly got juice type things. We do have a juicer so its an option. Thoughts? Planning to do it next…

It would be an NSV if it wasn't so depressing.
I wanted to walk to Starbucks and get some tea for breakfast (well...lunch I guess) so I reached into the dryer and pulled out some David Khan capris that I haven't worn in ages due to them being too tight/small. I pulled them on and there was zero struggle - the waistband is even the tiniest bit loose (although not the…

Dance Central - Kinect
Woo, just got mine. Anyone playing this with an HRM? I'm wondering if the calorie estimates are at ALL accurate - at least it tracks how many minutes I do it but I am SWEATING after 20 whereas I can walk for an hour and just be a little tired.... then again lots of short breaks with Dance Central... Any tips for getting…

If its reallllly that good I could get one of those... any chance they may drop soon? I don't mind paying for quality but I HATE to pay…

Starting to get bored with my workout
So I went from absolutely zero exercise at all to doing a 45-60 minute walk every day (except a rest day on sat) for the last month or so. For a while I really looked forward to it but today I kind of had to nudge myself out the door, and I barely stayed the full hour -- I think i'm just getting bored. I've been planning…

Bolani recipe?
Anyone know how to make Bolani? I got some at the farmers market (the spinach and pumpkin were the best) and they were not only yummy but at 84 calories for half a pumpkin one I am ALL over it. That and the yogurt/cheese with mint. this is what I had http://www.bolaniandsauce.com/home.php They seem to only really sell it…

Barefoot Walking? (or running I guess)
I usually walk around in flipflops but once I started seriously walking to lose weight (And wanted to jog for small stretches too) I went out and got myself some vibram 5 fingers. I'm noticing that right now my toes and the front of the balls of my feet are the most likely to hurt - obviously I'm bending/pushing off with…

Indian buffet - how bad do you think it was really?
It was a good place, not as oily/greasy as many of them are. But still, I imagine it was horrible. I put it in for 1200 calories - I ate a plateful but I tried not to go nuts.... I wonder if I should go up to 1500 calories? T_T It was sooooooo delicious.

Japanese kcal vs American Cal?
So, technically 1 kcal = 1 Cal. BUT. My soba noodles package has a japanese label that says 100 grams is 350 kcal and the english label slapped on top of it says that 90 grams (a much more logical portion size by the way as each bundle of noodles in the package is 90grams not 100) is 140 Calories. What the heck?

Feels like I just got started...
but its apparently been three weeks. Any other childless people in their late 20s or early/mid 30s? Any other nikkei people or hapa kids? People working in Software Dev? Trying to figure out what I can serve with cold soba tonight so my SigOth won't think he's starving (even though soba alone is pretty filling - he doesn't…
