10lbs over 6 months is really not terrible but I wouldn't imagine more than half would have been muscle (especially not if you've gained noticeable stomach fat).1 -

I'll quote you this when you finishing dieting and look terrible because you lost what little muscle you do currently have. Not preserving LBM is counterproductive as it reduces your TDEE.6 -
