I'd do an active holiday such as a climbing or tennis one. Probably come back lighter. :D One of my friends has taken her kids to the Dolomites. 8 hours of climbing and trekking everyday.2 -

Timing and fat burning efficacy aside, I have trained twice or even three times a day. The later session might not be at 100% effort but it beats sitting on the couch.1 -
