Welcome to the new forums and groups format!
This is definitely going to take some getting used to. But so far so good.

I hate love the formatting features!! ;)

Well, my goal to get more sleep has epicly failed for the past two nights and totally caught up with me. This cold has me feeling worse today than the first day. Woke up with an ear ache, headache, etc. DH has to work late, but is going to swing by to pick up son from school and bring him home for me before his next meeting. That way I can stay home, as can lil girl, who is still very sick too. Going to try a hot shower, to see if it helps. Meanwhile, ankles have felt good. Occasional plantar fascia tension-like pain, but everything is much better and I think my calf exercises will help.
Hope everyone else is doing great!

Yes, things are looking a little bit different around here! :) Sherry, sorry that you and your little one are sick with a cold. I have fortunately not had anything YET...but I guess it is going around. I heard from my oldest in University last night and he is down with it.

Last night I went to my exercise class, I had missed all last week, so I am feeling it some this morning. Going to get out for a run before the rain starts. Its looking a bit stormy out there right now.

    Oh yeah this is different!

    Love today's thread starter.

I walked at lunch yesterday then went to the gym after work. Was supposed to do 30-45 minutes on the bike + low back exercises. I couldn't get on the bike I wanted (the spin bikes are in the classroom and there was a class going on) so I just did 30 minutes on one of the other bikes which meant an easy ride instead of the spin workout I had planned. It was boring (just did an easy 45 minute bike workout on Sunday) so I got on Jacobs Ladder for 10 minutes to get my heart rate up a little bit. I was already in bed last night before I remembered I was supposed to do low back and had totally spaced it. I didn't get out of bed to do it. If I remember I'll do it tonight. I'm going on a day trip to our St. Paul office (which is 125 miles from home) and will likely get home late. Going down there with a co-worker so she's driving, which is nice.

I've stayed within my calorie target two days in a row. I had to go to bed pretty early to make that happen, but whatever it takes to get some momentum going. Going to be harder today since I'll be on the road. One of my co-workers has a catering business on the side and she's practicing some new recipes so she's making lunch for us.

    What a great thread starter!

On Monday night I got a much-needed GREAT night’s sleep and got up before my alarm to workout. Felt great! Plus I got to catch up on US Weekly lol

So I’m doing weight watchers now and trying to keep in mind everything my trainer has taught me about nutrition. And I don’t have a lot of points to eat so it’s veggie city and I’m the mayor. I’m hungry a lot and am trying not to go nuts with fruit. Going out to dinner with friends tonight so I worked that in… My trainer got me off added sugars, most processed foods, etc, so I’m still going to have protein shakes even though they are 4pts.

I woke up with a sore throat this morning so am guzzling vitamins and hot tea. Please, not a cold, though my hubs feels similar.

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone!

Laura - I'm glad your run went well! So glad that your healing is continuing! Also, congrats on losing that weight! I know you can keep that going! Going to bed early is a great idea! :). I know you can keep it up today!

April - I hope you don't get sick! That's the worst, it makes it hard to eat well! I hope WW works well for you!

Donna - I look at the baby steps that I make. my eating over the weekend was very emotional. but I just kept reminding myself that binge eating used to be an entire batch of cookies instead of just 2. So even though my choices weren't what I wanted them to be...I've definitely made progress! Glad to hear that you have too! Rome wasn't conquered in a day, and neither will our poor habits!

Sherry - I'm so sorry your sick! I hope this nastiness doesn't last and you're back on your feet soon! You and your little one!

Apparently MFP is being bipolar and not letting me post anything right now. I'm off on my run so I'm writing this now and will paste it over later when I have a chance to figure out the problem. (I left the page completely and when I returned a message about improving forums popped up. So it's not a glitch at least.) Monday and yesterday were both good days! I got myself back into my routine...got back into my training...and goes my house back in order! I made good food choices! So I'm very happy and trying to keep that momentum going today! I got in two runs, a long swim, and weight lifting in.
The only downer was that yesterday I got a migraine. It always happens when I adjust my routine. I've been so inconsistent with training that actually training consistently this week freaked my body out. But I took a nap and migraine medication and it all helped so I was better by the evening. So I still made dinner instead of ordering out, and I even got some weight lifting in!
I've been terrible about consistently doing strength training. So now I'm trying what you all and my hubby do, which is split up the upper and lower onto separate days. I did upper yesterday and 3 sets only took me 30 minutes instead of 50. I think it will be a lot easier for me to do it, when it only takes a half hour so I don't have to try to keep a large chunk of time set aside. I added a fourth day, but since it doesn't take as long to do it, I think I will actually stick to it this time!
I hope everyone has a great day!

    Goals:
Follow my routine. I need to get back into a routine, because that's always when I'm most successful getting my workouts in and making appropriate choices for eating.
Get my bike ride in today!

I also discovered Pinterest last night and found lots of little memes that I loved! So sorry, I went a little overboard with the thread starters. :). I also tried something a little different and for the title out both the day of the week and the date to make it easier to know which day to post on. (I'm terrible with remembering the date). Let me know if you hate it and I'll switch it back.

Thanks for the thread starters val :)

I ended up yesterday doing both Nia in morning and my mini hike in afternoon, today doing opposite, hike in morning and afternoon class...

Rest as much as you can Sherry I know its hard with the kids.

Lately I am only losing weight when I get sick, I know how that sounds. Just feel out of control lately with my life and food. I know its because of the move in future but its hard to live life in limbo. I am trying to take things slowly.

My girlfriend who got me job quit yesterday so I will probably get some of her hours. I had long talk with other woman who is closer to boss and she gave me great ideas for getting along better with her and so far its working for me.
