I hope everyone had a great weekend!

No school today, so I have all the kiddos with me. I'm still planning on heading to the YMCA and getting a swim in, on top of my run this morning. Then off to visit my sister. It's that TOM for me now, which always makes things so pleasant. But I'm trying not to let it slow me down this time.

    Goals:
Make better food choices. no more birthday cake in the house, thankfully!
eat more frequently. have some more healthy snacks in between meals to help manage hunger.

    Happy Columbus Day!

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to anyone here in Canada!! And Happy Columbus Day too!

We had our thanksgiving dinner last night, just us and my parents at my place. There is nothing better than a turkey dinner in my mind...Mmmmm. Didn't overdo it, just one plate but I did have a piece of pumpkin pie.

We are re-shingling our roof and they started today. Its pretty loud and things are banging in here. Lol My kids were both home for the long weekend and have both just left to head back to University. One will have a 3 hr drive and the other a 2 hr drive. I will anxiously wait for the text that they have arrived.

I did get a run in on Friday and Saturday, but took sunday off. Hope you're all doing good :)

I have to say, Thanksgiving dinner is probably the closest thing to heaven in my mind! I'm thinking I should start celebrating the Canadian Thanksgiving as well as the one here in the US. ;)

Happy thanksgiving and Columbus day to all...

I live and work in tourist town so lots of Canadians here for the long Oktoberfest weekend. I know because I have to check ID for all credit cards and almost no one pays cash these days. My town is only 4 hours from Canada.

Yesterday worked half day, watched football and baseball a bit then had dinner with lady I work with.

Now that my friend quit job I work at I work her long Monday's from open to close which is 9:45 to 6:15 so not working out today because I have Bookclub after at 6:30, busy day!

Glad I am off next two days....

I'm back. Had a really rough week, but back to normal now, I hope. Happy Thanksgiving for those in Canada. I can't wish anyone happy Columbus Day as The Oatmeal has made me very sensitive about how horrible he was.

Wow, all these holidays--I'm on the wrong continent right now! I'm with Donna on the Columbus thing and I like that some places have switched to an Indigenous People's Day and that goes right along with Thanksgiving (Canadian). But, c'mon, it's Oktoberfest that has to be some real fun, am I right?!

So with all these holidays over there, maybe I can just sort of go unnoticed that I didn't do any workout YET again! Still coughing like crazy and nose-blowing, paired with hardly any sleep (thanks to coughing) and couldn't bring myself to take son to tutor, especially since he had no homework. I've also been helping DH with some work-related stuff for the past two days (he's been totally swamped). So anyway, today I began a massive housecleaning effort that will take all week. Made some good progress for one day. Still lots to do and things may get tense around here when I start purging some toys. :o

Have a good one! Looks like it'll be a 4day week starting tomorrow for most everyone. :D

I blew it last night… I ate way too much and didn’t even enjoy most of it. It’s been a long time since I ate past the point of comfort and it did not feel good. I tracked everything in WW and basically ate an entire day’s worth of food in one meal last night. It’s pathetic to say this but it could have been worse—was just one meal rather than a whole day or whole weekend, etc… I still feel discouraged when my behavior does not match my goal.

SO! Protein shake this am, big salad for lunch, healthy snacks, & soup in the crock. I told my hubs I do not want to see the junk food when I get home from work tonight. Otherwise, have lots of produce, meals planned, and am ready for a healthy week.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada!

Columbus Day - well it was just another Monday for me, just without mail. A lot of my friends work for government entities so they had the day off. I tend to think it's a holiday that should just be phased out completely.

I ate well today, but not with intent. It kind of snuck up on me. Jason typically weighs me in on Mondays and I'm not sure if he forgot completely (usually I remind him), or if he just put it off initially because there were so many people in the room with the scale and intended to have me weigh at the end and THEN forgot. Either way I knew it wasn't going to be happy news so I didn't bring it up. I don't see him again until Thursday.

I did 5 minutes on the rowing machine to warm up, then had a total body workout with Jason, then ran 3 miles on the treadmill, walked a quarter mile to get my HR back down, then got in a good stretch.

Valma sounds like you had a busy day planned! You're brave willing to go swimming during TOM.

    Marla enjoy your days off!

Welcome back, Donna. What was going on this week?

Sherry you might want to do the toy purging when there aren't any witnesses in the house. Good luck! Hope you start to feel better soon.

April it's been a long time since you've had a binge (or anything like it) and I predict it will be even longer before you have one again. At least for me, more and more it's just not worth how I feel later that night or the next day - and by that I mean physically, not just the guilt. Tired, bloated, upset stomach -- not worth it.
