So Ive got this on off on off relationship with Yoga, and Im currently really getting into it again
but I just wanted to hear some opinions,
Malasana, I cannot get my heels flat on the floor. I do use my yoga mat rolled up under heels. Is there ever going to be a day where I can squat with my heels flat?
FYI I am 6ft2 so longer legs seem to be the reason for this as far as I have read..
Anyone here started off on their yoga journey without getting heels flat and seen any progress with this? Or am I doomed to a life of heels off the ground?
Thanks!

You're not doomed. My heels are now, usually, on the floor. But like anything, it's something you have to frequently work on. Chances are, your achilles tendon is a little tight - which is great for jumping and running, but not for Malasana.

try walking your feet out a little more, it's okay if they're further than the short edges of your mat to start.0
