I know some people don't need snacks while Primal/Paleo, but the hubby and I are having a really hard time kicking that habit. He works long hours at a very physical job and usually needs to grab something as soon as he gets home before dinner is done, and we get 'snacky' after dinner. I also like to grab an assortment of random foods for lunch, I'm a massage therapist and don't really have a lunch break so I like to have stuff I can eat in between appointments as needed. I'm stuck on Nuts, trailmix, nuts, jerky, nuts, jerky haha, but I really need some more variety! We also already consume about 5 dozen eggs between the 2 of us, so hard boiled eggs are already being consumed regularly... what do you snack on??

I have been getting the snack attacks recently and I just discovered almond butter with ground flax seed pretty much takes care of my cravings, also frozen berries are like little sweet treats if you eat them one at a time. I'm fairly new to paleo so these might not be very innovative but they're easy to get to when you have a craving.

I'd like to add that I've lost 30lbs on paleo in 78 days if that helps motivate anyone; although it wasn't my primary goal but being 140 sure feels better than I did before. SAD made life sad, so happy now.

Anything you eat at meals can also be snacks. For me, too many nuts are a fail and dried fruit are definitely something I must avoid (eat fresh!). Nuts have similar negative factors as grains so they should only be an occasional food and prepared carefully (most of mine are sprouted and dried, raw are not as beneficial as we've been led to believe). Eggs for snacks; why not? Avocados too. Homemade jerky, yum. Frozen berries in coconut milk. Celery with macadamia nut butter. Oysters. Very dark chocolate (in moderation, no soy).
