Bad news for me :(

So I have been having some knee problems all my life but they got serious in about August of 2011. I thought I had it under control and just knew that me knees got sore every once in a while. Well last night, at my class reunion none the less, I dislocated my knee cap.
My dad helped take me into the dr this morning. I was told that I will have to see a specialist and will probably have to have surgery in the very near future.
So there goes almost all if the workouts I do. I walk, I dance, I bike. Now what? I can't do any of those things for at least a couple of weeks while my knee heals.
So does anyone have any suggestions?! Anyone have any similar issues? How did you keep from falling back into bad habits?

Sorry to hear about your knee. I hope the surgery, if you have to have it, goes well.

Can you do some things like pilates or low impact cardio? I saw on youtube this instructor I like, Jessica Smith, has a chair cardio/strength workout. You might like that and be able to workout without stressing your knees.
