Finally- Ketosis!

Last week I decided to "tweak" my diet/macros because my weight has been stuck for so long. I haven't lost weight in over a year, so you can imagine my frustration. I've always been pretty diligent, but last week I decreased my protein and increased my fat. I'll admit it hasn't been easy to keep my protein lower, but today, I whipped out my last keto blood strip and low and behold, it said 3.2. I was so excited, i was dancing around. Anyway, I've made a pact with a friend to not get on the scale the whole month of October. When November comes around I'm hoping there will be a smaller number.!!! B)

    Woohoo! Way to go! Too much protein can keep you out / throw you out of ketosis, so it's good to switch things up if there's a stall. Next time don't wait a year to make the change! :smile:

    Great job. I feel your frustration....I've been really having issues with no loss myself, but I've been dealing with keeping my blood sugar under control, so even in ketosis, if my sugar is too high, I won't lose. I've lost inches though, so I'm happy.

    Excellent job staying with it in the face of frustration. Its so easy to throw it in, but you kept on, and are now an official fat burning beast. Whoop!
