Hey all! It's great to hear everyone slowly healing and coming back into a normal routine!
This weekend had it's ups and downs. I didn't get my workouts in this weekend. Mainly due to a lot of other things my family was doing. A fall festival, running a garage sale, etc. Also, my hubby has been sick. I love him dearly, but he gets very needy when he's sick, so that also kept me from getting much accomplished.I was getting stressed out trying to squeeze everything in, and finally gave myself permissions to relax a little. Life isn't perfect and sometimes I won't be able to get all my training in. But I didn't skip because I was being lazy, so that's something.
I also didn't track what I ate for a couple days. Mainly because I went to various potlucks so I had no way of knowing how much calories were in the homemade dishes. But I didn't engorge myself, and made reasonable choices on food, so I think I did well.
Today I start up my running again. I managed to get everything back in order yesterday in our house, so I'm all set to start the week off right! I have a run and a swim today, and then I run and do some strength training tomorrow. Looking forward to getting out there again!
Have a great Monday!
Goals:
Track calories
Get my workouts in!
Drink more water!0 -
Hi!
Today I had errands to run downtown with lil girl and stopped to see DH for a minute. Got plenty of steps there and back. At home, did quick chest, shoulders, arms workout with dumb bells. Did higher rep, no rest super sets. Quick and intense.
Lil girl bugging me, gotta go0 -
Good morning all!
I was very glad that we went to the memorial. Was tearful and a lot of good memories. Got back yesterday from trip and happy to be home.
Food: well, I didn’t track or count points, but I did my best to eat mindfully. So while I did eat things I wouldn’t ordinarily (like cinnamon rolls* and biscuits), I didn’t go off the rails or have the uncomfortably stuffed feeling. I also managed to eat when hungry and not get the eff its. Where usually I’d feel like, well, since I’m already off track I might as well nom nom nom. So that felt like a small victory. I didn’t get much activity in other than long airport walks and chasing after my tot.
Forgot a bunch of stuff this am but am okay. Have backup meals at work and baby carrots plus today is fruit day so I’m all good. Yesterday I pulled a homemade tortilla soup out of the freezer so that I don’t have to cook.
This cold is still lingering (ugh!) but at least my cough is a lot better. My goal this week is three workouts. Last week we had mid-70’s weather and this week it’s 55-65*. This morning it was 37* when I woke up. Yeesh! I had to dig out our coats from under the stairs this am. It’s also not daylight until nearly 7:30 am so it’ll be treadmill/recumbent bike.
*I ate ¾ of the cinnamon roll and they stopped BECAUSE I WAS FULL.

April - I'm giving you a virtual high five! Here's to having a lifestyle that we maintain for the rest of our lives!
Got my run in and it felt awesome! Already have my swim stuff packed so when I drop the kids off I will have plenty of time to get my swim in before I have to pick up the preschooler!0 -
I had long work day, couldn't get this site to post on my iPhone earlier.0
