is their any difference between metformin and metformin SR.. ???

    SR im guessing slow release?

    I was on normal met at 1500mg but kept forgetting to take it 3 times a day (each pill 500mg) i asked to be moved to slow release you only take one in the morning (i think they are 500mg per tablet) but to incease dose it would be 1xtablet, 2xtablet in the morning (or so my dr said when i was there)

    She's put me down to 500 mg total SR to see how it reacts. i found it worked better for me.

    its all down to your body though, the only draw back the tablets are bigish
