Any strange or unusual or noteworthy things you do arising out of your swimmer's lifestyle?

I now refer to swimming distances in yards/ miles/ kilometers rather than lengths :-)

What little body modesty I had is gone, I constantly smell of chlorine, and there are towels and bathing suits draped over chairs in my kitchen.

I have a swimming bag in the car at all times, just in case...
Oh - and the only time I wear a watch, is in the pool!

I also think/refer to my swims in terms of yards, check on the chlorine smell, got a set of hooks for the back of my bedroom door for suits/towels. I will carry a bag in the car just in case but only in certain circumstances (many of the times I can't swim I know I'm not going to get there at all). As for the hair thing, my Irish hair went all gray quite a while ago, but I was able to tame it once I discovered the Ultra Swim shampoo & conditioner. Before I started using it my hair was also starting to thin, but now it's back. I have noticed, however, that most of my body hair (chest, arms, legs) has mostly burned away.....

Every so often, despite the use of ear plugs, water gets in and I'm half deaf for a couple of days, out of one or both ears!

I have about four pool towels I've left in the backseat. I keep them there because 1. I'm too lazy to bring them in or I forget, 2. they dry faster in the sun than when hanging them up in the bathroom, and 3. keeping them in the car means I won't be screwed when I forget to pack one.

So it's safe to assume that Mac's bedroom smells of chlorine, as does Noel's kitchen and MS_J's car!
    And AQ's bathroom too!

My husband tell me he likes the smell of chlorine. When I smell of chlorine, I much more mellow.

    Pretty much, AQ, LOL....

    Got back in the pool today: 250 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 5 x 200 I.M., 300 free, 2 x 200 I.M., 3 x 100 I.M., 1000 free, 500 free

Got fire alarmed out of doing my last 250 cool down, thankfully I treat the last 500 & 250 as a cool down so my muscles did have a chance to cool off properly. I did, however, run into the locker room & change real quick before evacuating - since nothing in the pool or locker room was burning (the whole thing looks like it was a false alarm anyway), I wasn't going to go stand outside on 43 degrees, soaking wet in just a bathing suit.......

Next time back to the pool is likely Thursday, although I am going to try for Tuesday evening at our local school just to get some yardage in....

Lol! And you'd think the safest place to be during a fire is in the swimming pool! Sometimes, I wonder if some cheeky lifeguards set off those things on purpose!

Ahhhh, THIS is where I wound up posting yesterday's swim - I just put it in the "Did You Swim Today" thread. I THOUGHT I had posted yesterday but didn't see it there & thought I was going crazy....lol....

I don't think the lifeguard did it (this time) because he seemed to be aggravated about having to go outside...lol
