Great thread starter!
Sat: Pilates (no other students came so I got a private lesson) and outdoor activity with family (my hubs is very inactive so that was a huge win) in the am. Went to a little shindig in mid-afternoon and despite having a protien bar & banana on the way over I was hungry and yes had cheese and fruit....then 5 servings of sweets
Last night I had a wonderful hot stone massage! It was my second massage of the year.
Verrry sore (Sun is always worse than Sat when I see my trainer on Fri) and a bit up on the scales but feeling good. Making big *kitten* meal plan and grocery list today. And freezer cooking for my kid. He's super active and needs to gain weight. He eats like a champ but I just need to get more calories in him. I wish I could give him some of my extra lbs!!!!
Happy Sunday everyone!

It startles me every time I come to the page and see we have 218 (or is it 219) members? Where are the other 209?
Happy Sunday everyone. Just realized I never checked in yesterday.
Sherry glad you were able to get a workout in!
Marla that had to be a rude surprise to find out you didn't have water. I have city water and it's fine but I don't like the taste of it, so I have a couple of those water pitchers (one Brita one Pur), so I typically have a gallon or so on hand. I just had the Brita pitcher and it wasn't quite big enough so I bought a larger size Pur. I end up using them both.
Yesterday I had kind of a lazy morning, ate an early lunch, took a short nap, then went for my run. It was horrible. I was supposed to run 6-8 miles and in the end barely squeaked out 5 miles. Every mile got slower and slower. I had planned on going out 4 & turning around (figuring I could walk 1-2 miles if I didn't feel like running 8) but fortunately realized at 2 miles the most I could hope for was 6. At 2.5 miles I was debating even that so I turned around. The whole way back I was talking myself into running another half mile at a time. By evening I was pretty sure I was getting sick. I drank some Airborne, had some Zicam, drank hot tea with honey and lemon, and went to bed early. Still feeling "meh" this morning. Not full blown sick so it's entirely possible it's allergy. My doctor has been tweaking my allergy meds and nothing seems to be helping.0 -
Marla, sound like you have an electric well pump. Our power went out for a week in a blizzard one time (in Us, not Greece, lol) and we had an electric well pump....thank goodness for the snow, and for our fireplace that time (we even cooked TV dinners in the fireplace! And used melted snow to flush the toilets).
April, nice to have a private Pilates lesson! My kiddos are thin too, but not too bad. I just wish I could give my son some muscle. I know it'll come on fast when he's older, but it'd help him with his taekwon do right now. Meanwhile, he's perfect for modeling because he can wear nearly any size!
Laura, I hope it passes you by, good thinking to kick it with Airborne.
Today I am nicely sore (not too bad) and took a little walk with lil girl. I'm about to dive into a huge bin of her clothes for sorting. Oh, also, our time changed, so I took a nap in celebration.tomorrow is half school day and Tuesday a holiday, but will try for strength workout one of those days.
Have a good one!0 -
Oh yeah, Laura, if there were an easy way to mail blast all the members, we could maybe do that once or twice a year..to encourage them to join us in accountability check-ins, but there is no function for that.0

I did my Spinervals DVD. It was hard! It's 60 minutes total. You do a warm-up & some shorter intervals that take you to about the halfway point on the video. You then do 20 minutes as hard as you can go and still maintain that pace. By the end I could not wait to get off the bike. After a few minutes of recovery there were 3 more short intervals (those 20 seconds hard/40 seconds recovery) and then finally a cool-down. I hit the lap timer on my HRM at the start & finish of the 20 minute threshold test then went to their website & pulled up a spreadsheet that shows me my HR for zones 1-5. They tell you to repeat every 6-8 weeks to gauge progress. I can't tell you how much I was sweating by the time I was done, but it was good.
Sherry sorting clothes is maybe one of my least favorite projects. It's bad enough just doing it for myself -- can't imagine having to deal with my own clothes plus kids!0 -
Hi, long day I worked closing shift. Good news is my boss had a personality transplant lol she was all nice today and totally changed my duties.
I went for a wonderful walk before work and rain today. I work almost 9 hrs tomorrow so I will be not exercising.
And I love the thread starter!0
