Need Help Allergies

Hi
I have a question. I've been working toward a Paleo diet for about a year now. (fall off the wagon often but that's not my question.)
My sister has some health issues that she feels are diet related. (Low energy and blood sugar fluctuations.) I suggested a Paleo diet and sent her a load of paleo cookbooks.
The problem is she is she is allergic to garlic and onions. she can't even tolerate sweet onions or shallots. Nearly every recipe I sent her has garlic and onions in it. It's my go to for spicing up my food. And apparently the writer's of multiple cookbooks feel the same.

So I would like some recipes that are garlic and onion free, and some suggestions of what she could use to replace garlic and onions.
Thanks in advance

Quite a few people have problems with onions, garlic or FODMAPS (fermentable-oligo-di-monosaccharides-polyols) in general. Nothing will replace onions and garlic but she can just leave them out from most recipes. A useful book with Paleo info and recipes, including FODMAP free modifications, is "Practical Paleo" by Diane Sanfilippo.

I have some issues with nightshades and interestingly they are my favourite vegetables, but I did have to eliminate them for a time and now I can eat them in moderation without any problems. I always pay attention though and any hint of joint pain means I need to reduce the nightshades.

It's possible that once she has her health back in order she can experiment with adding previously problem foods back in. Interestingly, sometimes food intolerances can be resolved after eliminating wheat, dairy etc from the diet.
