Bought my wife an I the Charge HR (black for me, plum for her). SO far we are liking them a lot, except I'm still getting used to the calories burned and budget, they both seem very high. I've only jogged for about 30 minutes, there is no way I've burned 3100+ calories today.

Looking for friends that regularly top 15,000 daily. I just adjusted my stride down on my Charge hr and switched it to dominant hand as I really feel it was over reporting. Seems more in line now but I walk for a living and I feel bad crushing the few friends I have that do the challenges. geckospot

I am currently comparing the Fitbit Charge HR and the Jawbone Up 3 side by side and the Fitbit is definitely the winner! I'm looking for fitness minded people for friends as an inspirational source to meet common fitness goals.

[quotThats fantastic! I just got my Charge last week. Im liking how it is a constant reminder to get moving! e="fulltimelife;32623622"]https://www.fitbit.com/user/3CS7F9

When I began thinking about making dietary and activity changes towards better health and fitness, I figured I would eventually buy a Fitbit as one of the tools to help me along the way. I figured that instead of buying one immediately (and perhaps not using it, wasting money), I would instead buy one as a reward if I started and kept at my personal challenge for at least a month.

    But that never happened.

Well, time passed, and I knew I needed to add in some tangible items to edge me into getting more active about eating better and exercising more. So I went ahead and bought the Fitbit Charge and a couple pairs of sneakers. I was intrigued by the Fitbit for quite some time, but didn't make the jump until the Charge came out. I love that it would tell me the date, time, steps, calories burned, steps taken, track sleep, etc all comfortably from my wrist. I love that it pairs with MFP. I am highly motivated by numbers and other data, so that has much to do with my desire for the product, and my continued use of it.

It's a pedometer, but so much more. I've had clip on pedometers in the past, but they weren't utilized as unfailingly as the Fitbit. Been using my Fitbit Charge since April 18th this year. 20 pounds removed (and many more to go), with the help of Fitbit Charge, the MFP site, app, and community, and of course, my (so far) unwavering motivation.

    Best wishes to all![/quote]

I have had the Charge for almost a month now. I did have to do some customized settings after my MetaCheck RMR test with my physician and dietitian to allow the Fitbit to work better with my own metabolism. Since then, I am seeing some very accurate results and really enjoying my Charge. I am not concerned with the appearance of the Charge, though I may have liked some other color options. At the time I purchased it, due to my small wrist size, I had the option of blue or black. At any rate, this is my first time using a Fitbit and I am impressed. Kind of wish I'd sprung for the extra $$$ for the HR, but considering they did not have it in stock, I'm very happy with what I have. Oh, also, I am easily getting 10,000 steps in a day, but I am much less concerned with steps than I am with calories in vs. calories out.
