Hi all! Thx orl am for getting me to the forum. Just learned about 5:2 from a friend yesterday and really like the idea of it. I use to do something very similar one day a week and I was in great health then but it has been hard to stick to anything like that since I had kids. Hoping to get support and ideas about making this a regular part of my life again. Really struggling with really quick weight gain over past 18 months and crappy health relatively speaking the past 8 years.
I live in Taos, NM. Love to snowboard, surf, hike, run, read, travel, etc. I work part-time in outdoor adventure so being fit is critical and it has just slipped away from me. Currently doing HIIT 2-3x per week to get cardio and muscles ready for snow, 5x5 to keep and build strength, and random easy cardio sprinkled in to help knock the body fat down. Now to fit in two low cal days, might have to start with one. I have been tracking and staying on a weight loss plan but it really isn't working all that great.
I look forward to learning from all of you!

Welcome:) PIs browse a bit on this group, you'll find the links and recommendations. Since we're all different, it's probably better for you to do a bit of research and then decide what will work best for you:) Trial and error. Very tweakable ! Add me newcomers, if you want:)
edit: great info here. https://www.fastday.com/how-it-works/frequently-asked-questions/0 -
