Rack Pulls

I am unfamiliar with rack pulls...have never attempted them.

Are they easier than deadlifts...as in, is one capable of moving much more weight rather than pulling from the floor?

What is the benefit?

It's a partial deadlift and thus you will be able to do a whole lot more weight. It's like a bench press off of boards. It's good as an assistance movement if your deadlift lockout is lacking, as you are practicing your weakest part of the lift with an abundance of weight. Good for grip strength too since you will be able to use more weight than normal.
