Intro and Search For Like Minded Folks

I'm 42 yr old married female who is swimming for physical therapy and weightloss due to a back injury. I am not a morning or a Monday person. In fact I am so anti-monday it takes me til Wed to get motivated, lol

Today I actually felt motivated and did laps at the rec centers HUGE swim meet pool. My goal was 6, but I did 8 laps, yet still felt disappointed. One of those days I guess. Luckily my google+ had posted a motivational message that made me feel better. I am trying hard to reward myself for the small achievements, but sometimes it's hard depending on what level of pain I am in.

I have a friend who wants to swim with me, but due to my pain I can not pre-plan swimming trips. My goal is 3x a week.

I am also taking the Atkins Shakes as they are the only 1 gram of sugar shakes that actually work for me. I drink one of them and eat a Dannon Greek Yogurt which is almost over filling so sometimes I just eat an apple or banana.

If like to swim, dance and remember the good ole days when weight management was easier and need someone to encourage and be encouraged by then please friend me.

I also love my pets, children, movies and I am a country girl originally from Missouri ;)

Thank you,
Crissy

Hello I had three years of chronic pain. This summer I felt like my body exploded and came back together. I am better. My swimming friend got me through it
    Keep moving.
If your friend is swimming go to the pool go cheer for her, stretch do yoga on the sidelines. Anything. Make being with your friend at the pool the most important thing even if it's only once a week.
    Keep moving.
You will move more meeting your friend once a week.
    Keep moving.
Walk in the water- float on your back if you are tired. Think about swimming and take a bath.
    keep moving.
Give yourself credit for walking the dog or your kids.
I think swimming with your friend can help.
There is a website for the noi group which helps you with chronic pain.
    But you can do this!
