I have been doing DDP Yoga here and there for maybe 3 months. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I needed to have shoulder surgery and knew that this would have an impact on Yoga specifically as well as other things that I have been doing. So after getting the date scheduled last week I decided to get more serious about doing DDP Yoga with a goal of doing at least one of the yoga exercises everyday until my surgery date. I started this past Monday and will keep at it everyday till surgery day.
I have lost all the weight that I wanted to lose (40 lbs) through diet and walking and am using DDP Yoga to gain some flexibility and to rebuild some muscle.
With some luck and a skillful surgeon I will be back to DDP Yoga 6-8 weeks after the surgery. The trick will be to keep from gaining more then maybe 5 lbs from being less active during recovery. That and I want to try and figure a way to do some DDP Yoga during recovery!
