Hi everyone!
I am wanting to try and make my own sauerkraut this year and am wondering if anyone has any helpful tips to share on the process?
Here's the recipe I'm going to follow (except I'm going to add a couple of jalapenos to the mix): http://barerootgirl.com/nourish/2013/10/6/fermented-my-favorite-sauerkraut-recipe
Thanks everyone; stay warm out there!

Here is another good sauerkraut recipe. I like the flavor that caraway seed adds to it.

All I can say is that I made it years ago following Nourishing Traditions and it turned out pretty well. It was easy, too, as I recall, pretty much just shredding cabbage and carrots, salting, and pounding the juice out of the vegetables before stuffing in jars.0
