I'll share some Bonnie Pfeister motivation too! The one from yesterday about undoing all the good over the weekend was totally directed at me too. I pretty much grazed all day yesterday & didn't log a single bite of it.
I woke up yesterday exhausted and my legs were still really sore from Thursday's workout. It was cold & windy outside and I just couldn't talk myself into going out to run, so decided I would wait until later in the day and go run on the treadmill. That never happened.I feel so much better today that I know taking yesterday off was the right thing to do, but I am bummed I missed out on my run.
Today's homework from my trainer is to do 15-20 minute intervals on my bike trainer (shifting every 2.5 minutes just to play around with the resistance), with a circuit of lateral lunges, bridges, split squats, low back & core. Jason wants me to do 3-4 sets. I'm going to do that this morning and might try to get out for at least a shorter run later. It snowed overnight so that might be on the treadmill, or maybe I'll just get in longer runs than usual this week to make up for blowing it off this weekend.
A few of us are struggling right now. Let's make this a great week! We can do it. And those of you who are thriving right now can be the inspiration/motivation.0 -
For those of you not on my FL, my photo was yesterday's Timehop from 5 years ago. I barely recognize myself. That's a great reminder to me why I always keep trying, even when I'm struggling.0

Sherry - We've all been there! Not that it excuses us, but sometimes circumstances make it very difficult! It was only a few days, and as you said, if you did well all week...you can do it again!
Laura - rest is just as essential to a healthy body as working out! Glad you gave yourself time to recover.
Still letting my toe heal, and in two weeks I have my hysterectomy. But I have finally seemed to get my eating more under control! I'm hoping that I can still drop weight during my recovery even though I can't work out. I'll be switching my profile to the lightest possible activity after my surgery and see how it adjusts my calories.
Ended up going for a nice walk with the kiddos, dogs, and husband yesterday. I also tackled some more of the yard. The bushes are all huge, so I chopped them back to nothing. Here in phoenix we actually are supposed to do that a couple times a year, you cut the the bushes back to their roots, and then they regrow fuller. It's weird. But I timed it for now, so all those bushes can spend the weeks I can't do any yard work growing back.
I had one chocolate chip cookie, and then a couple small bags of popcorn at the movie our church put on in the park. Later, I felt hungry, so I ate some peanut butter bread. It's not low calorie...but it's filling. I ate that and didn't have a desire to snack on anything else! Very happy about that!
Today, I have to get some planning done for my evening Sunday school class, and get the laundry folded. I plan to get that done after church. Tonight is our crazy night were we are at church from 4:30-7:30. So dinner is something fast afterward. I may get the kids McDonalds to eat, and then heat up some leftovers for myself after they go to bed!
have a great Sunday everyone!0 -

Hi all! Well, I had forgotten that we were still expected at inlaws, despite the party crash Friday. So, back out for another meal over which I had no control. Luckily it wasn't too bad. Fish...but fried. It's a Greek dish of home fried cod with garlic paste on the side. The skordalia (garlic stuff) knocks you out. So, lil girl ended up falling asleep super early and I have finally (thanks to some "interval sleeping") caught up on my sleep, yay! Oh, and I convinced DH to take the kids home from inlaws by taxi, while I walked home, since it wasn't raining, so I got some steps today. It was a tough weekend, with all the family plans, but it pointed out some holes in my plans that need patching because life does happen--often.
Oh crap, lil girl just woke up....11pm...NOOOOoooooooo!!!! gotta go
