Treadmill being maintained

Since I owned the treadmill I have not maintained it as I should have as per the instruction manual. So tonight I went out and purchased some silicone spray which has been applied and will be drying over night. I've been off it this weekend because it was too dangerous to walk on as the belt kept slipping. I am waiting for the product to dry over night and hopefully I should be back on tomorrow night!
