Sherry - I'm impressed you got any workouts in with everyone sick!

Speaking of sick...I'm no coming down with the nasty head cold my hubby has. Great fun. I've also been watching my friends kiddo this week, and we had no school Monday or Tuesday. I'm looking forward to getting the two oldest out of the house today. Yesterday I also watched my neighbor's three kiddos. So yesterday morning I had seven kids in the house, ages 16 months, 3, 5, 6 (three of them), and 7. It kept me busy! I'm already exhausted and the day is just starting for me! We ate pizza last night and for the first time in a week and a half I went a couple hundred calories over. But overall, I'm still proud of my progress. I'm planning on feeding the leftover pizza to the kids tonight and instead eat the leftover southwestern lasagne I made instead.

Today my goal is to really, really rest. I tried to on Monday, but with all the kids home it didn't happen. Now with being sick too..I really want to give my body a chance to heal. So a little downtime today is in order!

    Goals:
    Rest!
    Drink a ton of water!

If we are MFP pals then you know I fell off the wagon pretty hard last night (I was that thunk you heard). If we're not MFP pals, why not?

Today is a new day and I hit TJ’s before work and have plans for a lunchtime walk. And I’m guzzling water like it’s my job.

My husband is going out of town again (third trip in 2 months) soon so I’ll be flying solo with our toddler. I’m trying to prep for a healthy few days. Salsa chicken tonight, leftovers on greens for lunch tomorrow, then breakfast for dinner or frozen TJ’s Indian entrée for dinner tomorrow and Friday. I cancelled my trainer Friday @6am and am trying to book a babysitter for Sat morning Pilates.

Hope everyone & their families feel better soon! I brought in my own box of Kleenex today.

Our group once again is in rough shape. It's been a hard couple of months with illnesses, injuries, traveling, etc. What I love is that nobody has given up!

I seem to be finally pulling it together. On Monday Jason made me promise to start eating better. I'm still not overly worried about calories, but I'm watching the quality of what I eat, and I'm down 3.5 pounds from Sunday. Water weight, but still happy to have the scale dropping again instead of going up. I sound like a broken record but I have to stop the yo-yo. But I've promised Jason 30 days of good eating (except Thanksgiving) so hopefully that will break this cycle I've gotten myself into.

Yesterday was a long day. Work was super busy both Monday & Tuesday. I got up early yesterday and rode my bike trainer for 30 minutes, got in a 30 minute/2 mile power walk at lunch with my friend, went for a shorter walk in the afternoon with my boss, then went to the gym where I've been swimming and first ran 3 miles on their indoor track (18 laps = 1 mile) with 3-4 walking laps between miles, then swam for 30 minutes. The track is upstairs and circles the pool so I was keeping an eye on the pool (which was . After my run I changed into my swimsuit, showered quick because I was sweaty from my run, and got the one open lane. I was just getting my cap & goggles pulled on when someone else came in, saw there weren't any empty lanes, and left. It was 8:00 before I got home so I ate dinner, watched a little TV, unpacked/repacked my work & gym bags, and went to bed.

Today is traditionally my rest day. Since I took Saturday as a bonus rest day Jason told me to either run or swim on Tuesday night, then do the opposite tonight. Since I did both last night I think I'll go to the gym & just do some mixed cardio tonight - maybe 15 minutes each on the rowing machine, elliptical & Jacobs Ladder.

    ^WOW!^ Thank you for this!
This spoke to me today...scolded me actually, but I need it!

Today has been similarly bad as yesterday--no steps, over calorie goal :s . Stayed home and tended to sick lil girl today, trying to keep the young cat from playing with the tissues or eating lil girl's half-eaten food. Shoulders are sore, so rest today, then on to chest/tris tomorrow. Did my leg stretches, but not the exercises today. So, I really have to get that done tomorrow. And my step goal tomorrow!!!

DH's huge stupid (yummy) banana bread is finally gone, so maybe I can keep it together tomorrow. grrr.

    val, hope you feel better.
Laura, good news and inspiration from you! Just what I need to hear to motivate me!
April, good luck while hubby's away. I know about those days. For me they are tough not having the help, but a lot of temptation is removed that DH puts on me (either bringing chocolate & chips home, or influencing me to be lazy and stay home).

Hope I'll have a better report tomorrow!
    Later!

Got to the gym and told Jason I had done both my swim & run last night, so he asked "Do you want to do something hard?" Of course! I did 15 minutes on the treadmill to warm up (walking at 4.0 but no incline), then he had me do 8 1-minute intervals going back and forth between the rowing machine and Jacobs Ladder. I really didn't think it was going to be that hard by the 7th set I was pretty much dying (legs were burning & was breathing hard). I finished with 20 minutes on the elliptical to cool down.
