Surprise! I moved to Germany, thats why I haven't posted in forever - it's been a crazy transition. Anyways, today, I finally got a run in, I'm starting off on week 3, and it went really well.
Run: warm up walk - run 1.5min, walk 1.5min, run 3 min, walk 3min (repeat whole thing twice) - cool down walk
Time: 8:12pm
Weather: 52 F and sunny
Location: trail
Playlist: Imagine Dragons "Radioactive" and the Killers latest album
Today's run was a great way to start off running again. My new home in Germany is lower in elevation and that certainly helped! I ran on the beautiful trail up on a hill through the forest, on a hard dirt road. It was shaded the whole way and all the flowers are in bloom so it smells soooo good. I completed all the runs, and after, I took a walk for another 20 minutes to explore some more. I made sure to stretch afterwards since I pushed myself probably harder than I should, and i just know that im going to be sore tomorrow, but it just felt so good to be outside and to breath and run. The trail is mostly flat, but at the beginning and in the middle there is a steep hill. So far, so good (but its only day one!)
Have you ever ran someplace far from home? it really made me appreciate nature.
