I try and plan a day ahead at least what I am going to be eating for my meals (generally aim to be at least 200-300 calories above my goal range since I know I'll burn them with exercise) and then adjust snacks as needed to get me to my net calorie range that I'm aiming to be.
It also helps for grocery shopping as I tend to buy less munchies and other things not on my list!0
