Sick son. Glitchy ipad, third attempt to type this.
Son got sick on way to school and had to come home. so between his bathroom breaks, I've lead mock school today. No time for abs. T.o.m. Is wrecking me today anyway. Tutor wanted son for longer study session today which would be perfect for a double gym session for me, but it will depend how son is feeling and me too with tom stuff. At least it's Friday! B)

Yesterday did not go well food wise. It wasn't too bad until around dinner time. But I had lunch at about 11 am to eat with my daughter at school...when I usually eat around 1 pm. I volunteered at Family Art Night...but was running the snack bar and since it ended at about 7:30 pm and I literally hadn't eaten anything for 8 hours...I was starting and ended up eating a bunch of chips and some chocolate. Then only had time for fast food so grabbed some Panda Express. I've no idea where I eneded up on calories. I did a bunch of agressive yard work...all I have left is sweeping up the back patio and putting toys away. So that burned a bunch of calories. I only ate a small entree that night and drank water not pop...so that helped. But I still ended up with a massive tummy ache because my body isn't used to that stuff anymore. The silver lining I guess. :)

Today isn't quite as busy. I work in the nursery this morning. But I saw on facebook that the mom and kids I normally watch have been sick. I'm hoping they don't show up so I can go home after hanging out for a half hour.

The hubby worked a lot of extra shifts this week..about 7 ten hour days in a row. But where he normally works the weekend...he now has it off! Looking forward to that!

Just finishing presents for Christmas and birthdays and then I'm done. Just need to pack up my kids to stay with Grandma and a little overnight bag for myself and I fully intend to enjoy this weekend and just relax!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Val, hope you have a very nice relaxing weekend, you've certainly worked for it! Hope the surgery goes well.

I got nothing today, when DH had to work extra late. Son was well enough for tutor (he's studying for a test), so I drug him and lil girl over there, brought lil girl back home to eat and see DH between meetings, then back to get son. Still not as many steps as a normal day, and no exercise, so my calorie situation might be tricky today. :-/

Will regroup tomorrow. DH has some work, but I should be able to get to gym for upper body, and hold off on abs and lower body til tom settles down in another day or so. Not a bad week so far though.

    Have a great one!

With Marla's comment yesterday & Val's today it is interesting how our bodies adapt to the new way of eating...and how much our bodies can protest when we revert back to old habits even for a meal. I wonder sometimes if I felt crappy all the time when I was eating poorly but was just used to that feeling so I didn't associate it necessarily with the food choices I was making. I do remember how good I felt when I started eating right, so it's not a stretch to think I didn't feel so good before. Now it's just a bigger contrast because we're used to that good feeling.

Last night I ran 1.5 miles (2.4K) on the treadmill before my trainer session. Because I knew I didn't have a whole lot of time I started at what's typically a faster speed for me anyway, then bumped up the speed every quarter mile. When I was at 1.38 miles I could see Jason wrapping up with his prior client so I bumped up another .5mph to finish in time. Then we did upper body. This morning I just did 15 minutes on the elliptical to warm up, then we did legs & abs. I've got weekend homework.

Hoping to get through today happy with my food choices. Jason was yelling "good luck!" at me as I walked out of the gym this morning.

Your right Laura, as we eat healthier our bodies reject crap!

Its real pretty here today, got first snow all day snowing lightly and heavy soon. Suppose to rain next 4 days so enjoying it today.

We changed plans about going shopping to next Tuesday so did a bunch of housework.

I got my exercise in running up and down my stairs.

Hope your son gets better soon Sherry.

Val wishing good things for you!
