A question for those who have had surgery and are on synthroid. Did you take your pill the morning of the surgery? I've had conflicting answers between my surgeon and internist.

I will clarify with them, I've still got tons of time but I was curious of others' experiences.

I'm interested in the answer. I'm on Levo and will have to have more thyroid surgery very soon. I actually have my surgical consult tomorrow - I'll ask and report back!

The decision was no surgery, so I never got the opportunity to ask. Sorry!

I was wondering if you got an answer, ah well. No surgery is always good too. ;)

It is...except the surgeon followed that with "so how do you feel about living with cancer?" o.O The answer seems to be sliding into the direction of AAAHHHHH!!!

If anyone is wondering. Skip the dose. Was told not to take it in the morning, and I was on so many other meds after the surgery, my absorption would have limited

I was also told to skip mine before my gallbladder surgery.
