Good days, Bad days - Correlation?

Hey guys!

So last Monday I had my best run ever. 3km solidly at 12km/hr (exc. warm up / warm down). My stamina has never allowed me to do anything like this before. I tried to repeat this on Thursday and absolutely died! Didn't get anywhere near. Then I tried today (Monday), and managed a great run again!

I'm trying to figure out what contributes to a good or bad day. Some things don't add up - I didn't eat clean, I was tired from a full day's work...Why?! Have you guys noticed any correlations?

Short answer is anything and everything can contribute, down to the weather. It's why some people unfortunately after months of training can crash and burn on race day, whilst others smash it possibly under training.

Your Monday runs you've come off the weekend, so you might be a bit more recovered than your Thursday run.

You're right, maybe I'll keep a closer eye on the variables! It's a treadmill in a gym so a lot of consistency in that sense. Just thinking what else I can keep an eye on... Recovery, diet, workout from previous day, if anyone has any more.
