Greetings! I am a 50 year old female triathlete from Florida. I got into tri's in my mid 30's and have done some IM's, but stick mostly to sprints and olys with the occaisional 1/2 IM thrown in. My weight has steadily crept up over the last decade as my metabolism has dropped.
I met a wonderful man who started doing tri's 2 years ago. We are married now. However, being married to a calorie burning eating machine has its drawbacks : ) I need to be more careful about eating to feed my metabolism and passing on the wine and snacks!
We both plan to sign up for the August 70.3 for 2015, it will be my first half since 2012 when I did the Austin 70.3 (15 lbs lighter).
Races? we have a 10k on Turkey day, an offroad duathlon planned for Dec 13 and a half mary planned for Jan 10. I'd love love love to have a 45 something PR at the half mary, but I can ONLY do it if I drop several pounds.
My plan is to train steadily, but not to the point of exhaustion as that tends to make me eat. I am also throwing in some weight training as I can see the my muscle mass has dropped.
Thanks for reading...
