It's Nearly Thanksgiving

We are just about there. The beginning of the holiday season! It seems weird almost as time is flying by too quickly. However, we can't stop that, but we can certainly be prepared for it. What are you doing to prepare for Thanksgiving?
I'm preparing by getting all my workouts in NOW, snow or shine! It's important to exercise especially now that we've come to that point in the year of SAD. Keeping up with your workouts not only boosts your immune system, but it keeps you feeling happy and energetic. Avoid exercises you don't enjoy. Keep it light and fun for the next few weeks. That way you'll still accomplish what you've set out to do.
When it comes to food at this time of year, planning is imperative. It's not easy, but a necessity for success. For a lot of you that are cooking, this can be done by planning a couple healthy dishes on the day of Thanksgiving. Heck, why not a healthy dessert? My husband and I are cooking this year and I'm planning on taking some control of this by doing things a little differently. We will still have the turkey and mashed potatoes, but the vegetable sides can definitely be tweaked slightly and no one will be any wiser. I want to hear what you're plans are for attacking this Thanksgiving meal. Remember the only person that can hold you back is YOU!
